Welcome to An Introduction to Public Health in CanadaThis module will give you a basic understanding of what public health is and the important role it plays in today’s world. It takes about one hour to complete. After you have finished the module and an online evaluation, you will receive a certificate of completion.
An Introduction to Public Health in Canada is the first of two self-directed online learning modules about public health. The second module entitled Principles and Practices of Public Health builds on the first module by providing more in-depth information and learning activities. Together, they provide a basic orientation to public health.
Both modules are part of the Skills Online series of continuing education modules hosted by the Skills Enhancement for Public Health program, Public Health Agency of Canada.
